How the Claude Code team reviews code: ~90% Claude-written, merged PRs more than doubled June–Sept while revert share fell over 40%
An Oct 15 Anthropic engineering post details layered review on the Claude Code repos: pre-PR self-verification plus fresh-context subagent review, parallel bug-hunting agents with voting verifiers, blocking security review, risk-tiered human approval (0/1/2 people), merge queue, flags and fast rollback. All metrics are the team's internal figures.

X discussion: Thariq of the Claude Code team says he has left Anthropic; his farewell post drew 24K likes, and a joking "is Opus 5.5 dumber" reply also went viral
On 2026-10-24 (04:04 UTC), Thariq (@trq212), whose X bio reads "Claude Code @anthropicai", posted that he has left Anthropic after more than a year working on Claude Code and plans to take a break before starting something new. When we pulled it, the post had about 24K likes, 2.82M views and 1,800+ replies, with Claude Code colleagues such as Lydia Hallie saying goodbye. About 20 minutes later he replied to Lydia, "wait is it just me or is Opus 5.5 dumber", and that joke drew 8,600+ likes. This is an X discussion and a personal post, not an official Anthropic announcement.

Claude Code desktop reworks multi-session flow: saved environments, nested parallel sessions, /btw side tabs and a needs-you sidebar
On 2026-10-14 (UTC) ClaudeDevs announced a Claude Code desktop update built for running many sessions side by side: a new-session screen with recent folders, saved environments (several folders, an SSH host or the cloud) with an optional worktree per folder, nested sessions for parallel tasks that report only results back to the main thread, one-click follow-up sessions, /btw side questions in their own tab, and a sidebar that separates working sessions from ones that need you, plus a live to-do list, recap cards and a side rail showing where a session runs, its context and its changes. Update the desktop app to get it; Anthropic published no performance numbers.
