Anthropic releases a Claude for Nonprofits plugin with fundraising, marketing and hiring skills built with ~30 organizations
On Oct 26 Anthropic released the Claude for Nonprofits plugin, a set of skills and connectors built with about 30 nonprofits. It covers the full fundraising cycle (finding funders, breaking down RFPs, drafting proposals and reports, donor stewardship), marketing, hiring and board work, and starts by having Claude map where the organization keeps its records and answer questions against the organization's own AI policy. It is installed automatically at no extra cost for verified nonprofits on Team and Enterprise plans. Anthropic says more than 25,000 nonprofits use Claude, and over 75% of them have fewer than 10 seats.

Claude Code 2.1.302 turns on fork subagents by default across claude -p, Agent SDK, desktop and VS Code; standalone Claude Design closes Dec 14
Claude Code v2.1.302 (Oct 16) makes fork subagents the default in claude -p, the Agent SDK, desktop and VS Code, starts permission-mode-less headless sessions on third-party providers in default mode, and adds CLAUDE_CODE_AUTO_MODE_MODEL. It also flags that standalone Claude Design (claude.ai/design) closes on Dec 14, 2026; design systems must be migrated to Claude Artifacts, while chats and comments are not carried over.

Empirical Benchmark Unmasks Sub-Agent Concurrency: SWE-bench Success Drops 24% as Token Costs Surge up to 3.3x
A comprehensive empirical study evaluated native sub-agent concurrency across 2,124 runs on Claude Code, Codex, and Kimi Code (354 tasks, ~$20.8K API cost). On 100 standard SWE-bench Verified tasks, enabling sub-agents caused Claude Code's solve rate to collapse from 83% to 59% (with latency increasing from 17.5 to 27.8 minutes) and Kimi Code from 77% to 59%, while token consumption inflated by 1.41x to 3.31x. The study revealed severe failure modes including budget-exhausting fan-outs, orphaned child processes, and concurrent delivery race conditions.
